ARTSPACE COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.      Duration 

1.1 The Competition begins on 8 Dec 2021 and ends at 11.59PM on 8 January 2022 (“Competition Period”).​

1.2 NETHICS may at its sole and absolute discretion extend or terminate the Competition Period at any time without any prior notice to any party (“the Extended Period”). Unless an Extended Period is announced, any redemptions requested after the end of the Competition Period due to any reason shall be rejected. Any participation in the Competition during the Extended Period (if any) shall be governed by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) which shall remain in full force and effect.

2.     Eligibility

2.1 This competition is open to Malaysian residents only.

2.2 Participants should be at the age of 15 - 30 years old by 2021. Proof of identity and age may be required.

2.3 Participants who are below 18 years old must have the consent of their parents or guardian on these Terms & Conditions.

2.4 Participants would only qualify for the competition if they have REGISTERED and PAID for the participation fee.

2.5 The organiser (NETHICS committees) are strictly not allowed to participate in this competition.

2.6 All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition. Only ONE entry is allowed PER individual.

3.     Participant Fee

3.1 RM15.00 per entry

4.    General Rules

4.1 Any modification of the original template provided by the organiser is strictly not allowed.

4.2 The use of a false name, address or any information will result in disqualification.

4.3 NETHICS does not hold any responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed due to computer error in transit.

4.4 All competition entries must be the original work of the participant. This means we will not accept artworks that directly copy other people’s work (this does not include artistic interpretations) or works that are made from a tutorial. Plagiarism would lead to an immediate disqualification with no refund of participation fee.

4.5 Copyright of the winning designs shall belong to NETHICS. NETHICS reserves the exclusive right to use these designs for various purposes including in marketing materials.

4.6 If the winner/s are identified to have broken the terms and conditions, the organiser is allowed to retract the prize and title.

5.     How to Enter

5.1 Click on the registration form, fill in your details and make participation fee payment. Proof of payment is required.

5.2 The ArtSpace design template would only be emailed directly to the participant after filling in the registration form and completing the participation fee.

5.3 Participants are required to submit their entries through the submission form provided on the NETHICS website. Submissions through any other means will not be counted or accepted.

5.4 All entries must be submitted by 11.59 PM (GMT +8), 08/01/2022. Late or incomplete entries will be disqualified.

5.5 Entries will be judged by a panel of judges chosen by NETHICS. The decisions of the panel on all matters relating to the contest are final, and not open to dispute.

5.6 Entries will be judged on the originality and creativity of the design in relation to the theme. A set scoring rubric from the organiser would be provided to the judges.

 

6.    Design Guideline

6.1 The design size should be exactly the same as the original template given, with a minimum resolution of 300dpi. Please apply the design  on the template provided.

6.2 The design should evoke a strong sense of proper social media etiquette in the hope of making the internet a safe place for all.

6.3 Design format for submission: Submission should be in either JPEG or PNG file format. File size must not exceed 10MBs.

6.4 All submissions must be digitally created with illustration software such as Adobe, Affinity, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, and others. Traditional art, photos, collages and animation are not accepted.

7.     Privacy

7.1 The personal data of the applicants by NETHICS may be used for administrative and public relation purposes as related to the contest.

 

8.     Competition Prizes

a) 1st place RM5OO worth

b) 2nd place RM400 worth

c) 3rd place RM300 worth

d) Consolation x 3 RM100 worth

8.1 ArtSpace Competition participants would be judged and evaluated by professionals that have a career in Communication, Arts and Design.

8.2 The prizes are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. 

8.3 In the event of a prize being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

9.     Winner

9.1 The winner will be asked whether the winner wishes to receive the prize. 

9.2 If any participant who is contacted does not respond within 7 days, the judge’s panel will decide whether another or next shortlisted entry will be awarded and such additional chosen participant shall be contacted through e-mail/message.
